The complete intercooling solution suitable for Porsche 911 Carrera, -S, -GTS! Bigpack – intercooler and piping as one unit!

In addition to our intercooler kit, we also offer various other products for the Porsche 992 In this big pack you will receive not only the intercoolers themselves but also our intercooler pipes and silicone hoses for improved airflow that lasts a long time!

If you ask us, this is the best intercooler kit that can be made for this platform. In our quest for maximum performance in every part of the system, we left no stone unturned. The starting point is the cores from renowned manufacturer Garrett Motorsport, which are incredibly well made with their thin and stacked fins and exactly match our specification in terms of cooling and airflow. The end tanks are made from thin cast aluminum to keep the weight down while still making use of the airflow. To accommodate the thicker core, we replace the air ducts with the best quality carbon fiber tubes! And to eliminate bottlenecks throughout the system, the intercooler connections have been enlarged and fitted with do88 silicone hoses that are finished with smooth, curved bends. We made no compromises in this development - check out the result!

The most important figures:
 Colder intake air temperature under the same conditions: 30°C / 86 F (39°C / 102.2 F). 9°C / (16.2 F) lower. See diagram below.
- More air to the engine, less back pressure and better airflow! Airflow at 0.175 bar / 2.54 psi pressure drop: 919 CFM (820 CFM), 12% higher! See graph below.
– High-density, motorsport-grade Bar&Plate cores from Garrett.
– 3D-cast, free-form end tanks.
– Individually designed air ducts made of carbon fiber.
– Supplied with high quality silicone hoses and accessories for installation.
– Meth plug on the intercooler outlet tank (2x 1/8 NPT).
– Complete set of charge air pipes with powder coated pipes, high temperature silicone hoses and hose clamps of the highest quality.

Background:
With the introduction of the 992 generation, Porsche had already said goodbye to the naturally aspirated engine. From now on, all 911s are turbocharged, which makes this entry-level legend interesting even for those aiming for higher horsepower figures. Each car model brings its own challenges and requirements. While the principle is the same as always, the layout of the intercooler system on this platform is something completely new compared to previous Porsche 911s. With our knowledge and experience from previous developments, we sat down at the drawing board with equal parts trust and respect. As a pioneer on this new platform on the market, we knew we had to be very precise and forward-thinking. Today, we are proud of what we have achieved with the 992!

In previous versions of the Porsche 911, the intercoolers are located in the rear fenders and are connected by a Y-pipe before the charge air reaches the intake manifold. The 992 has a completely different setup. The intercooler and Y-pipe are now combined in one unit that sits under the rear wing. Ambient air is channeled from the rear window into an air scoop on the tailgate and further through the intercooler to ensure optimal heat transfer. The active rear wing is crucial to the efficiency of the core as it channels more air in its upright position. Looking at the design from the side, this configuration really makes more sense, but is also more challenging for us as a performance cooler manufacturer. In order to be able to fit a core with a larger volume and surface area, we had to develop new carbon channels to accommodate the increased thickness. We are very happy to have taken our carbon production to the next level with this product – the fit and finish are worthy of an icon like the 911!

Garrett's cores:
The cores are Bar&Plate, manufactured by the renowned Garrett Motorsport. Frankly, they are as good as they get. Thin and stacked fins create a dense construction that ensures very efficient heat transfer. The core measures 105mm (4") and is exactly as thick as you can possibly make it for this application. Air is distributed throughout the core via free-form cast end tanks. Developing these tanks was an extensive undertaking that ended with 3D scanning, CFD analysis and 3D printing until we had a finished prototype. As usual, we chose cast end tanks because they allow for shapes that cannot be replicated by CNC machining and because for us, function always wins over form. Maximum airflow is more important than the bling factor! The tanks are manufactured with machined 70mm (2.75") ports to enable high performance. We also supply silicone hoses to match these larger ports. Both cores are connected to the intake manifold through a central outlet tank using machined ports and meth plugs.

Ambient air ducts made of carbon:
The air ducts are made from vacuum infused, pre-impregnated carbon and all parts are provided with mounting grooves for the air ducts, just like the OE parts. As complex as the shapes are, we still guarantee a perfect fit! The two upper air ducts are always the same regardless of which car you have, but for the two lower parts there is an option: standard or SportDesign. With SportDesign, the cooling air is better discharged via an outlet in the middle of the bumper. From a performance perspective, SportDesign is preferable, but we offer carbon ducts for both versions. They come with corresponding rubber seals to prevent the cooling air from escaping past the core.

Aluminum pipes:
Also included in the big pack are the do88 intercooler pipes - a significant improvement that replaces the flimsy OE hoses. Made from 63mm (2.5") mandrel bent aluminum tubing, the pipes are finished with a tasteful matte black powder coat and offer better airflow and longer life. Four silicone hoses are included, of which the turbo outlet hoses are made from a high temperature resistant material rated for a continuous temperature of 240°C (464°F). The hose clamps in this position are of the "constant tension" type, meaning they compensate for thermal expansion of the material.

Perfomance:
When it comes to performance, the do88 intercoolers significantly reduce intake temperature! The graph below shows the difference compared to the OE 992 units. Data was collected with an AIM race logger on 5 consecutive runs in immediate succession on a closed runway. Full throttle accelerations between 50-250 km/h (30-155 mph) with a Porsche 911 Carrera S (450 hp). Hard braking, no cooling in between, just five full throttle bursts. The rear wing was in its up position the whole time.

The test was performed as follows:
First, 5 runs were made with the car using the 992 OE intercoolers. Stop, quick parts swap to the do88 intercoolers. Shakedown for a few minutes and then five runs done in the same way as with the OE parts. The drop in intake air temperature is significant, the peak delta is 9°C (16.2F). See the graph below!

Cooling is important, as is airflow. After many hours of development work, refining the end tanks and selecting a core that meets our requirements, the result is an intercooler that is much more efficient in terms of both heat transfer and airflow. Using our in-house flowbench, the Superflow SF-1020 probe, the airflow was verified for both the do88 intercoolers and the OE 992 units. What you see is what you get - real performance!

Suitable for the following vehicles:
Porsche 911 (992)
Model years: 2019-
Model: Carrera / Carrera 4 / Carrera S / Carrera 4S / Carrera GTS / Carrera 4 GTS
Note: If your car has the unnecessary noise generator (sound system), it will not be used with our intercooler kit. This system normally transfers the intake sound from the intercooler into the interior.

Note:
Choose which rear bumper your vehicle has. Standard or SportDesign package* bumper.
* The rear bumper of the SportDesign package (equipment codes 2D1,2D4,2D5,VM2,VM3) has a cooling air outlet between the exhaust pipes.
