Power increase: 15-18 hp, 12-16ft-lb The Mercedes M139 intake manifold for the A45 and CLA45 is designed to provide the turbo with a more even airflow.
By redesigning the system to allow a much more direct path, the turbo is able to generate boost with less drag, thus reaching target boost earlier in the rpm range. This intake system is designed to provide the highest flow rate possible while maintaining the lowest intake temperatures for a net power gain. The de-throttled flow path also allows for more pronounced spooling of the turbo, adding to the dynamics of the overall driving experience.
The Eventuri Difference The Mercedes M139 Eventuri system uses our patented carbon fibre housing which provides an aerodynamically efficient airflow path from the filter to the turbo. It is not another cone filter with a heat shield, but a unique design which induces the Venturi effect and maintains laminar flow conditions to reduce drag on the turbo. Bench Testing Our M139 intake has been independently tested by a Mercedes specialist tuner in the UK - MSL Performance. Multiple runs were made with the OEM airbox to get a repeatable result and then again with the Eventuri intake.
The tests were carried out back to back on the same day. The results show an increase in torque and power across the entire rev range - not just at peak revs, which is why the car feels more responsive and can accelerate through the gears quicker. The Eventuri A45/CLA45 intake system consists of a series of components designed for a specific purpose and manufactured to the highest standards.
We use 100% pre-impregnated carbon fiber with no glass fiber, which means we can achieve a smooth internal surface to get a more consistent airflow.
